01
Getting started
Why outsource your billing to a medical billing company?
Medical billing regulations tend to be complex and are ever changing. House of RCM stays up to date on the latest rules and requirements in order to maintain maximum reimbursement. Outsourcing your medical billing gives you more time to concentrate on your patients and your practice.
What does a medical billing company do?
A medical billing company submits your insurance claims, posts the payments that come back, appeals denials, and follows up on unpaid balances. Full service companies like House of RCM also verify eligibility, handle prior authorizations, review coding, and credential providers, so the entire revenue cycle sits with one team.
Is outsourced medical billing a good fit for a solo practice?
Yes. Solo and small practices often gain the most because they have no backup when a biller is out. With percentage based pricing, you pay only on what’s collected rather than a full salary, benefits, and software for an in-house biller.
Can House of RCM facilitate out of state contracts?
Yes, we absolutely can, and we do. Our clients are located throughout the United States, and we serve practices in all 50 states.
Can House of RCM furnish references?
Yes, we absolutely can, upon request.
02
Pricing and contracts
What is the cost for your services?
Medical billing costs 3% of what we collect for your practice each month, so you only pay on money we actually collect. An invoice is sent to you at the end of every month.
How much does credentialing cost?
Credentialing costs $100 per insurance enrollment. That includes CAQH profile work, the payer application, weekly follow up with the payer, and status updates until approval. If you’re enrolling one provider with five payers, the total credentialing cost is $500.
Is there an initial setup cost?
No, there is no initial setup fee required.
Is there a contract?
There is no time binding contract. You are free to cancel at any time.

How billing works
How is information transferred from my practice to House of RCM?
House of RCM uses any method convenient for your practice, for example mail or courier service, fax, email, or web based programs.
When is billing submitted?
Billing is submitted within 24 hours.
What is the turnaround time on claims?
Turnaround time can be as quick as two weeks for electronic claims.
Will I have to change my EHR or practice management system?
No. We work inside the EHR and clearinghouse you already use, including drchrono, Allscripts, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Inbox Health, and Kareo. During onboarding we set up secure, role based access, so your staff keeps its current workflow.
What reports will I receive?
You’ll receive weekly updates on how your claims are processing, plus monthly reports on collections by payer, denials by reason, and A/R by aging bucket, along with the fixes we recommend.
04
Security and privacy
Is House of RCM HIPAA compliant?
Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement before accessing any patient data, limit system access to authorized staff, and use secure physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Your practice keeps full ownership of all patient records.
Do you sell or share my information?
No. We never sell or rent your information. We only share it when it’s essential to do our job, for example with insurance companies to process claims, or when the law requires it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
